Excuse me, but what’s an Easter?

David Sedaris is my favorite for so many reasons, the first of which is that his chapter on explaining easter in a second language led to one of the best pedagogic moments of my short high school teaching career where I had my students in French II explain the Fourth of July in French, and it ended up sounding more like an acid trip.
