It’s 10:30am and I have just made dinner

Not Southern “dinner” (which means lunch), I mean the dinner that the rest of the country eats (which is, of course, supper).

Rip easter bunny

Coronavirus killed the magic

Merida (6) asked if the Easter bunny is real. I asked what she thought and she said it’s parents. I asked Elsa (4.5) and she said “Yah, it’s parents – NOT!! How could they even do that?” So I told Merida later that she was right that parents are the easter bunny and that now she knows the special information and she too is the easter bunny. TBH it’s kind of a relief to have half the charade done. I hate lying to the kids.

Is this the real life

We got out of the house this morning and went to a local orchard for fresh strawberries (a gallon)
I went to the grocery store and to Home Despot and continued my master plan to turn the whole backyard into The Biggest Little Urban Farm Ever.

Rearranging deck chairs on the titanic

The kids wanted to paint their “tiny house”
Seedlings started to sprout so we relocated them to the raised garden bed, aka former paddling pool

The seedlings are progressing nicely. I look forward to growing and eating whatever it was I planted because I forgot to label everything.
